Trinity Apparel Holdings, Kandy

Started in 1995 as a modest company with a few scattered plants and a small workforce. Today, it is one of the most important garment sectors in the hill capital, mostly serving the local market. They have made a step forward by going global, with the goal of capturing the export market.

Trinity Apparel Holdings has a total office and manufacturing space of 1,500 square meters. They are a prominent sustainable sourcing firm that offers a diverse range of fashion products and categories, including clothes, intimates, and accessories. Mr. Gamini Gunaratne, the chairperson, tasked us with creating his new office space to accommodate the many local and foreign buyers that will be coming into the office as the company grows. We achieved this by utilizing current styles to create an interior with a Kandyan touch yet an elegant air of modernism running through the entire area.

Starting with the main entrance, the entire design was centered on the qualities, evoking the developing business, and demonstrating stability as one enters the premises.

The building’s main entry lobby is a minimalistic set-up and a huge area with special detailing. The simple design of the railing and the furnishings will create a tranquil mood while concealing the grandeur of the space. The wall portraits provide glimpses of the Hill Capital while infusing the area with a Kandyan vibe, and the suspended copper light fittings contribute to the majesty of Sri Lanka’s Hill capital’s bygone past.

Simple furniture layout provides a sense of calm, while the wooden strip ceiling and wooden flooring, combined with the yellow sofa and grey and blue titanium walls, add contrast to the space, giving it an aesthetic appeal and a sense of cheerfulness in a space where the most important business decisions are made.
