An insight to architect's story

The younger son of the late Royle Senaratne, a civil engineer who later became an architect, Roshan Senaratne was introduced to the vast landscape of architecture at a very tender age. Owing to constant access to his fatherís work and frequent site visits, he developed a growing passion for the subject, consequently becoming an aspiring young architect following in his fatherís footsteps.

This exposure also enabled him to become familiar with the engineering aspect of design and construction. With a strong urge to further explore the depths of architecture, he then travelled to England and drew influence and inspiration from many different styles of architecture originating from various parts of the world.

Over the past one and a half decades he has designed over 500 private and commercial spaces and created a body of work that is testimony to his unique brilliance composed of originality, unparalleled practical wisdom, careful attention to detail and the ability to create sensuous appeal and elegance through simplicity.
