Jack Tree Villa, Pelawatta

The giant Jack Tree in the midst of the land, which eventually produced a sweeping canopy that provides shade to the entire structure, heavily impacted the selection of this land, even if it was unsymmetrical (trapezoidal shape).

The jack tree in the centre of the property serves as the focal point of this contemporary luxury residence, which is made up of two cubes that merge. The use of a minimal number of walls and full-height glass panes highlights this architectural concept and brings the relaxing and welcoming atmosphere of the outside into the residence. The use of open spaces and earthy materials in the interior adds to the feeling of being close to nature and harmonises with the surroundings. Additionally, the open spaces provide ample light and cross ventilation. Furthermore, all design items, from furniture to light fixtures, are custom-made to complement the architecture.

Natural granite stones on the floor, a row of flush lights on the walls, and embedded lights in the ceiling create an attractive entrance on the walkway from the gate to the main door. The ancient windows, abstract painting, and wrought iron chair add to the overall visual appeal of the space.
